Deefoc Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 15, 2026

Overview

Deefoc helps users start and unlock focus sessions with a physical NFC Key. The app is designed to work without an account and without advertising tracking.

Data Collection

Deefoc does not collect personal data through the iPhone app. The app does not require an account, does not use advertising SDKs, and does not sell user data.

Local Data

Deefoc stores focus modes, selected apps, selected app categories, selected websites, NFC Key identifiers, and focus session history locally on the user's device. This information is used to provide the app's focus blocking features.

Screen Time and Family Controls

Deefoc uses Apple's Family Controls and Managed Settings frameworks so users can choose apps, app categories, and websites to shield during a focus session. These selections remain on the device and are not sent to Deefoc.

NFC

Deefoc uses NFC to read a Deefoc Key and start or unlock a focus session. NFC Key identifiers are stored locally on the device and are used to match a Key with the correct focus mode.

Third-Party Services

Deefoc does not use third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or tracking services in the iPhone app.

Website and Support

If you contact Deefoc by email, we will use your email address and message only to respond to your request. If the website later offers a newsletter or product update form, the email address provided there will be used only for Deefoc product updates.

Children's Privacy

Deefoc does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
